Where is Spars Lodge?
Spars Lodge is located in a residential neighbourhood very close to the centre of Shimla in Himachal Pradesh. It is a short climb of 100 meters up from Chaura Maidan and the Oberoi Cecil.
How do I get to Spars Lodge?
You can either drive, take a taxi, local bus, fly or go by train.
Shimla is easily accessible via road with the Chandigarh-Shimla highway and it only takes around 3 and a half hours to reach here from Chandigarh. Approx 350 km / 7 hours from New Delhi by car. From Delhi, head towards Karnal and Chandigarh on the NH 44.
To go by Bus, leave from ISBT Kashmere Gate, New Delhi or from Himachal Bhavan in Mandi House, New Delhi. Overnight Volvo sleeper buses are available.
From Chandigarh, you can catch a bus from ISBT Sector 43 to Shimla Bus Terminal
The major railway stations are in Chandigarh (106 km) and Kalka (89 km). You can catch the 7.40 am Shatabdi from New Delhi Railway Station to Chandigarh or Kalka. You can also take the slow toy train from Kalka but it takes about 6 hours. The railway station in Shimla is very close to Spars Lodge.
Chandigarh is the nearest major airport from Shimla which is around 113 km away. Alternately the Jubarhatti airport, is 40 minutes from Shimla and an Alliance Air ATR 42-600 aircraft flies from IGIA New Delhi during the season.

There is space to park one small car. Cars are usually parked below on Chaura Maidan which has paid parking.
